CREATIVITY AGAINST THE TIME LIMIT

The name “MAKEATHON” is a pun made from the words “MAKE” and “MARATHON”. It refers to an innovative and creative educational event, a so-called innovation festival, in which students create technological concepts and develop innovative prototypes within a few hours with the help of industry partners and experienced engineers.

The participating Young Talents can be students as well as apprentices and trainees, who are divided into several teams, working together in an agile as well as interdisciplinary way.

The participating companies and industry partners are available with many years of know-how and support the Young Talents in working out the practical tasks, so-called industry challenges, with creative software or hardware solutions.

With our MAKEATHONS, we bring together companies, universities and students whose common denominator is the fun of developing, designing and programming. The results are remarkable and it never ceases to amaze us how quickly the Young Talents turn their creative ideas into reality.

42 MAKEATHONS in 6 different countries have already shown what new ideas for a digital future can look like and how recruiting talented developers can work in the competition for skilled workers. In total, more than 4,500 Young Talents from 350 universities were able to participate.
